Delete your account

In the app

It takes less than a minute, and your account password confirms it is you.

• Open CCX Messages and sign in to your account.
• In the Inbox, tap the circle with your initials at the top of the screen, then Settings.
• Tap Delete my account, read what happens and confirm with your password.

Without the app

Don’t have the app installed, or can’t sign in? Write to ola@ccxmessages.com from your account email, with the subject "Delete my account". If you write from another address, we will confirm the account is yours before deleting it.

What is deleted

The account can no longer sign in, and this data leaves our records:

• Name, email, phone number and photo.
• Password, access code and recovery codes.
• Sessions, trusted devices and notification identifiers.
• Preferences, alerts and the reports you sent through the app.
• Your links to companies: the conversations assigned to you go back to the team queue.

What is kept

Some records do not belong to the account. They belong to the company or are required by law. They are kept for the periods below and then erased:

• Messages in the conversations you handled: they belong to the company you worked for and follow the period it set, from 30 days to 5 years. To delete the content of those conversations, contact that company.
• Audit log: 24 months.
• Tax and financial records: 5 years, as required by law.
• The account’s internal identifier, with no personal data, because those records point to it.

How long it takes

In the app, the account is deleted right away, and you get a confirmation by email.

By email, we respond within 15 days.

If you hold a company

The account holder’s account is tied to the company’s wallet and contract, so it is not deleted right away. The request is recorded and we contact you to transfer ownership or close the company. We respond within 15 days, and we confirm by email when the account is deleted. The same applies to CCX staff accounts.
